Road Trip writing prompts

Road trips are box-sets. Pick a prompt, set the destination in the first round, and let each writer add a service-station stop the others didn't see coming.

1. Two estranged sisters are driving their mother's ashes across the country and the urn keeps moving.
2. A retired roadie agrees to drive his ex-wife to a wedding that turns out to be her own.
3. Three friends discover their hire car has a fourth passenger.
4. A father and daughter drive the same route every year and this year the route is different.
5. A van full of strangers realises they are all going to the same village.
6. A truck driver gives a lift to a hitchhiker who recognises him.
7. The satnav starts giving directions to a place that doesn't exist anymore.
8. The road trip ends back where it started a day before it began.
