Yes. Signing up and writing stories with friends is completely free. Optional point top-ups (from £1.99) unlock fonts, colour palettes and AI illustrations.
Between 2 and 8 writers per story. The classic format is 2–4 — small enough to keep momentum, big enough to stay surprising.
When you create a story, you get a short share code. Send the code to anyone — they enter it to join your private room. There is also a public lobby for matchmaking with strangers.
Yes. The public lobby lists open stories that are looking for writers. Filter by language and number of players, then jump in.
Every writer earns 10 points when a story is completed together. Points are spent in the shop on fonts, colour palettes, AI illustrations and other perks.
Storybored auto-translates the interface into Spanish, French, German and Japanese. Stories themselves are written in whichever language your group chooses.
Yes. Completed stories can be exported as a PDF, styled with the font and palette you've unlocked, and printed as a keepsake.
Not yet — Storybored works in the browser on mobile and desktop. A dedicated app is on the roadmap.
