Comedy writing prompts

Comedy is collaborative escalation. Hand the prompt to the next writer and trust them to make it worse — or at least more specific.

1. A small-town pet shop accidentally orders a single, very large, very legal tiger.
2. The office Secret Santa goes catastrophically right.
3. Two estranged sisters have to share custody of their late mother's parrot, which only speaks German.
4. A funeral director's stand-up comedy career takes off at exactly the wrong moment.
5. A village is selected for a TV makeover show and immediately begins to mutiny.
6. The wedding ring is swallowed by the dog. The dog is swallowed by the lake.
7. A man wins the lottery and decides his only purchase will be revenge.
8. The new vicar is, by every metric, a clown.
